BrightonSEO brought together thousands of marketers for two days of cutting-edge insights beside the sea. Each ticket also included access to MeasureFest, an analytics-focused track running alongside the main conference, giving us a deep dive into data-driven marketing.
Big Themes and Big Changes
The search world is changing so fast that some speakers joked their slides were already out of date. With Google’s new AI Mode transforming digital advertising, a major theme was how AI-driven search is reshaping discovery. Google’s AI Mode is changing how users find information and how brands get noticed. We also heard about the battle for visibility in zero-click results. Speakers shared tips on getting featured in AI-generated answers (whether in Google’s AI Mode or ChatGPT) and on keeping content visible in a zero-click world.
For marketers, success now means ensuring our content appears in those AI answers, not just traditional search listings. We also saw a flood of new marketing tools, reminding us that staying curious and adaptable is non-negotiable. And, it won’t be long before we can advertise in these AI tools… watch this space.
The Need for Continuous Learning
Beyond the talks, our team joined roundtable discussions with other agency leaders. It was refreshing to swap stories (and share a few laughs) in a friendly setting. Despite the doomsaying around automation, we left with a clear reminder: change is constant, and adapting is what keeps us moving forward.
BrightonSEO reinforced how quickly our field is evolving, a challenge we’re excited to embrace. Investing in learning helps us stay at the cutting edge for our clients. We returned energised, brimming with ideas, and ready to adapt to whatever’s next for PCC.
