AI Powered Solutions launched at Google Marketing Live 2023, and the benefits for us all

Imagine how excited we got when we heard how Google AI will help drive immense growth through the announcement of several new generative AI advancements for Google Ads and Search Generative Experience (SGE) in Search Labs.

Check out some of the new features that we are looking forward to using in the near future …

Auto-generated Assets for Responsive Search Ads

Google will enable us to automatically generate assets from existing content, such as a landing page for example.  This new natural-language conversational experience with Google is designed to jumpstart campaign creation and provides a platform to combine our industry expertise with Google AI leading to creation of more relevant and a higher performing suite of ads for our clients.

Enhanced Experience with YouTube Shorts

AI-powered solutions give us exciting new ways to improve creative assets, launch video campaigns that drive high-impact results, and understand how suitability settings impact KPIs. Like asset creation for Google Ads, Google AI can help us generate new horizontal, square, or vertical video ads using existing assets from sources like your other campaigns, product feed, app store listing, etc.  It will also allow the addition of voice-overs using text to speech technology.

In addition to all of this, we will be able to add a product feed to YouTube shorts making ads more shoppable for users and in turn generating more revenue for your business.

Enhanced Automation and insights for Performance Max Campaigns

Further enhancements in the pipeline include A/B testing for more control, more campaign management features in the Google Ads mobile app, new performance information such as attribution, audience and auction insights, with recommendations and optimisation scores.

Introduction of Product Studio

Hosted on the new and simplified Merchant Centre, Product Studio will help (especially small resource light) businesses create product imagery using generative AI.  Creating eye catching imagery can require a lot of time and resources, notwithstanding the costs associated, and this tool will provide a solution to the problem of sourcing or creating high end images to showcase your product in its best light.

Search Generative Experience (SGE) in Search Labs

Over the coming months Google will experiment with Search and Shopping ads that are directly integrated within the AI-powered and conversational mode.  They will also experiment with new formats native to SGE that use generative AI to create relevant, high-quality ads that are customised to every step of the search journey.  As these features evolve they will bring more opportunities to grow your business and showcase your brand amongst those looking for your product or service in the digital space.

Google Tagging will also be streamlined with the global site tag being replaced to make it much easier to track consumers therefore offering our customers more granular reporting to measure ROI.

Finally and just as important, Google are testing new privacy-preserving signals.  As third-party cookies are phased out of Chrome next year, they are actively testing new privacy-preserving signals from the Privacy Sandbox to help us all continue to reach relevant customers and measure results.
